Co-Founder.
Conservation photographer and Filmmaker, Kristi Odom, has worked in some of the earth's most remote locations to help document stories that will help protect our planet's biodiversity. She is a Nikon Ambassador, an internationally awarded photographer, an associate fellow of the International League of Conservation Photographers, and a motivational speaker. She believes strongly in the power of photography to help create positive change. From native bees of the Amazon to local fungi, from flower carrying Pikas to some of the world's most fierce creatures, her work focuses on connecting people emotionally to animals and celebrating those who fight to protect the natural world.
Behind the camera.
When she was 16 years old, Kristi Odom picked up her grandfather's camera and fell in love with the beauty of the natural world. Ever since, she's been driven to capture what's real, raw and compelling about that world.
Today, Kristi travels the world photographing, teaching and sharing her insights. From conservation projects in the jungles of Borneo to workshops in Kenya, she's always on the move, always ready to connect with others.
Kristi teaches photographers to focus on improving not just technical skills, but by creating an emotional connection and celebrating their unique voices. "By using the art of photography I want to help people share empathy for this planet and for one another and make people celebrate this amazing natural world" Kristi says.
Her accolades include over 60 international photography awards including 2 Nature’s Best Photography awards, which exhibited her images at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. She also was included in National Geographic’s 2021 collection for Best Animal Photos. Her work has appeared either online and/or in print for the following clients: National Geographic, Washington Post, New York Times, Forbes, Rollingstone, Nikon, Microsoft and Outside Magazine
